Cake and Fruit Day is a popular Gordonbrock tradition held on the last Friday before every half term.

How does it work?

All families are asked to donate cakes and fruit which are brought into school on the day.

We need nearly 2,000 cakes every time!

Each child comes to school with 40p.

What happens?

Parents prepare a big table full of cakes.

Each class comes to the parents' room where children choose three cakes and some fruit.

At the end of the day leftover cakes are sold in the playground.

What will happen at Greenvale?

We hope to continue to run cake day at the decant site and sell surplus cakes at Ladywell Centre. You will be able to collect cake tins at the end of the day.

Children love cake and fruit day and its a great way to raise some funds for the school!

The Spring term cake day raised £212.40. Thanks to everyone who made cakes and came to help. The children always really love the day.

This is where FOG will let you know about upcoming findraising events.

We'll also use this space to let you know how well previous fundraising events went and how much we raised.
